British Academy Engagement grant - 'Families of prisoners: pathways to policy impact'
I have been very fortunate to receive a grant to conduct three round-table discussions on policy impact in the context of work focusing on families of men and women in prison.
Below is a brief outline of the three events. I have already been approached by a number of Early Career Researchers working in this area and interested in attending the three round-tables.
I will be sending out the date for the first two round-tables by the end of April 2018, but in the meanwhile, please e-mail me if you wish to attend (if you have not already): a.kotova@bham.ac.uk
Further information:
Travel will be fully funded, and lunch/coffee will be provided on both days. There is scope to cover overnight accomodation for ECRs who will need to stay in Birmingham and in London.
Round-tables one and two: late August 2018
This will be a one-day event at the University of Birmingham. The first half of the day will be a discussion of policy impact with senior academics. The second will bring together ECRs and practitioners from a range of charities and other non-profit organisations whose work involves families of people in prison.
Round-table three: 23rd October 2018 (with a key-note by Lord Farmer) - London. Dinner will be held in the evening for informal networking.
